Norco, is situated in western Riverside County adjacent to the intersection of the 15 and the 91 Freeway bordering the north side of Corona. Its name comes from its proximity to Corona: "North Corona." Norco transitioned from a small farm-community suburb of Corona in December of 1964, to a large scale city with a unique "old town" atmosphere. Norco’s theme is ‘Horse-town USA” and is roughly 14 square miles. Lot sizes in Norco are required to be a at least 1/2 acre, and most of the sidewalks and curbs are replaced by almost 90 miles of horse trails. There are also over 400 acres of parks. Norco is also headquarters to the U.S. Naval Warfare Assessment Division, and the California Rehabilitation Center. Interstate 15 goes through Norco and has brought many new families and businesses like CNC (Dyne Corp.), Starbucks, Staples, Target, Albertsons, Stater Bros. A few of the largest improvements are the Norco Auto Mall and the Gateway area development. If you like horses and a small town feel, Norco is for you.
